Strength and Water Absorption of Sustainable Concrete Produced with Recycled Basaltic Concrete Aggregates and Powder

In this study, the recycled concrete aggregates and powder (RCA RCP) prepared from basaltic waste were used to replace natural aggregate (NA) cement, respectively. The NA (coarse fine) was replaced by with five percentages (0%, 20%, 40%, 60% 80%). Consequently, cement RCP four 5%, 10% 20%). Cubes 100 mm edge length for all tests. compressive tensile strengths (fcu ftu) water absorption (WA) investigated mixes at different ages. Partial substitution of reduced strength depending on type source aggregate. After 28 days, maximum reduction in fcu value 9.8% 9.4% mixtures coarse RCA fine (FRCA), 56 40% FRCA reached almost same as control mix (M0, 99.5%). days 99.3 95.2%, respectively, compared those M0. integrated showed higher than M0 d a very small (max = 3.4%). Moreover, ftu values increased late test ages, while WA decreased.
